Jones PR named ‘Agency of the Year’

The 100 Companies’ inaugural member wins prestigious PRSA award

The 100 Companies’ very first member, The Oklahoma 100, has set a number of records within our network, from the highest number of social media followers to the highest number of openers for a single issue, which happened last month when over 8,000 readers opened this year’s special Halloween issue.

This month, the year after winning a PR Daily Content Marketing award for The Oklahoma 100, Brenda Jones Barwick and the Jones PR team added another achievement to its list when it was named “Agency of the Year” by the PRSA Oklahoma City Chapter. The prestigious award is based on client recommendations for the agency’s exceptional work product and culture of professional growth, team leadership and community impact.

The PRSA’s president-elect called Jones PR “an agency hitting it out of the park across the public relations and communications industry,” which was further confirmed when Jones PR received 12 additional awards, including the “Best of Show Award” for an Oklahoma Turnpike Authority public safety effort.

“Our clients motivate us every day to do our best for them and for Oklahoma,” said Jones PR President and CEO Brenda Jones Barwick, APR. “As a team committed to our clients, we are honored that our work and commitment to the industry and the community is recognized by our peers.”

News from our members

From billboards to TV segments, our members are always brainstorming new ways to spread the word. One promotional idea that has been a recent success is running ads in other publications.

In addition to securing coverage for its clients, Atlanta-based 360 Media decided to place an ad (pictured above) for The Atlanta 100 in the November issue of Delta Air Lines’ Sky Magazine.

The newly launched OJT 100 had a similar idea when they ran a banner (pictured above) and secured the No. 1 ad spot in FloridaPolitics.com’s Sunburn. The email newsletter, which is sent Monday-Friday each week, highlights “what’s hot in Florida politics.”
