Peter Schorsch, President and CEO of Extensive Enterprises Media, has launched his third market with The 100 Companies – The South FL 100, a weekly newsletter and website serving Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties.
“We’ve had members talk about opening a second or third market with our 100-word media channel, but Peter and the EEM team are the first to actually do it,” said Chris Schroder, president and founder of The 100 Companies. “We’ve learned much from working with each of our communications partners in nearly 30 U.S. markets, but Florida continues to lead the nation – now with four markets featuring the magic of 100-word newsletters, websites and social media channels. Fortunately, there are many more markets we can serve in the Sunshine State.”
Schorsch first became a publisher within The 100 Companies’ network of cleverly branded community newsletters in June 2021, when his team began developing content for The Tampa Bay 100, simultaneously launching its subsidiary website-only market, The St. Pete 100.
“Launching The South FL 100 just six months after we published The Tampa Bay 100 made perfect sense to our team,” said Schorsch, who the Washington Post once ranked publisher of the best state-based blog in Florida. “We exceeded many of our goals and saw an opening to replicate our success in the South Florida market. I loved this 100-word newsletter format the first time it landed in my inbox. We respect our readers’ time and plan to make the most of it.”
Based in St. Petersburg, EEM publishes several of Florida’s premier political news websites, podcasts, newsletters and periodicals including FloridaPolitics.com, Sunburn and INFLUENCE magazine. The 100 Companies digital publishing network delivers more than 2 million newsletters featuring 100-word stories, photos, videos and podcasts while managing Google-News certified archival websites with expanded content. The 100 Companies has launched digital media platforms in 24 geographic and 6 industry vertical markets.
