The 100 Companies launches third weekly, The Ohio 100

The 100 Companies launches Ohio’s first statewide electronic publication

Today, The 100 Companies launched its award-winning digital eNewsletter, website and social media platform in its 20th (and third weekly) market. The Ohio 100, published by Cleveland-based Stevens Strategic Communications, was sent to over 47,000 business leaders and residents living in the Buckeye State.

To publish The Ohio 100, Stevens Strategic Communications CEO Ed Stevens added to the team Media President and former Cleveland Magazine Publisher Frank Bird, a move The 100 Companies Founder Chris Schroder called “brilliant and a new model of marketing expertise that will certainly be replicated in other markets.”

The new weekly publication will be the only electronic publication reaching the entire state of Ohio and will cover topics including business news, culture, arts and entertainment, events, travel, restaurants, real estate and more.

“The Stevens Strategic Communications team is very excited about The Ohio 100. After all, it is a proven concept and the only digital platform of its type in Ohio,” said Ed Stevens, APR, CEO at Stevens Strategic Communications. “It offers business leaders and influencers a chance to provide thought leadership around the burning issues that will shape the future of our state. That’s why we are so excited. The Ohio 100 can and will make a real difference.”

New 100 publishing options

The 100 Companies announced at its 1st Quarter members webinar last week that it is introducing new publishing options that greatly expand options for story count and frequency. Based on member input, the award-winning international publishing platform now allows members to publish eNewsletters with six, nine or 12 100-word stories, along with the three network story placement requests from other markets. Before, only the 12-story option was available. The firm also introduced a monthly publishing option, alongside its existing weekly and bi-weekly options.

“We’ve been exploring ways to give members more publishing flexibility, so we upgraded the software in our proprietary website and eNewsletter platform to meet this demand,” Schroder said. “This will be particularly useful as we expand into several global industry categories, such as The Travel 100, in our third year.”
